Introducing our new relaxed tapered fit, Kai! High rised, fitting precicely and narrow in the waist, and curved into the lower back. Fans of our Barnes wide will appreciate the spacious thigh, before it taperes down to a slimmer leg opening. The result is a fit that meets the needs of many. On slimmer and average legs, Kai fits precicely in the waist, with a relaxed tapered fit, but Kai is also perfect for the athletic build that needs more room in the thigh and seat with a high and narrow waistband. On the latter body type, Kai will follow the leg naturally from the waist all the down.

Kai Japan Black is made from a 13 Oz 100% cotton, black wideloom denim woven by the renowned Japanese fabric mill, Kuroki. While all black denim will lose colour eventually, this particular denim fades in contrast after wear, evolving a beautiful personal pattern. This is due a special technique called rope dye, whereas the yarns are dipped in short intervals between oxidation. This prevents the colour from completely penetrating the core of the fibres, leaving it fresh, natural and untouched. When the layers of black colour wears off the surface of the yarns, the natural coloured cotton core will appear, leaving a contrast fade throughout the jeans.

Made in a one-wash finish to increase softness of touch.
